Strange things had been happening since Harry Potter came to Hogwarts.  Harry was now in his 5^th year.  Lord Voldemort had returned after the Triwizard Tournament and everyone was on their guard, afraid that they would be his next victim.  An almost unprecedented event began the school year with the arrival of a new student.  Gavin Fiddlebum was also in his fifth year and had just transferred from Durmstrang.  Gavin was placed in Gryffindor, which came as a surprise because he had come from Durmstrang.  Harry, Hermione, and Ron immediately tried to become friends with Gavin.  However, Gavin was a very awkward boy.  He was very quiet and withdrew himself from everyone.  He spent much of his time in the library, and soon opened up to Hermione.  They were soon spending all of their time together.  Hermione began ignoring Harry and Ron.  Ron was furious because he had a slight secret crush on her.  Anyway, within a matter of days, Hermione and Gavin were rarely seen.  As soon as class was over, they disappeared together, allowing imaginations to decide what was happening.  Harry and Ron became concerned about Hermione's safety.  They started to doubt Gavin's trustworthiness and began investigating him.  They soon discovered that there was never a student at Durmstrang called Gavin Fiddlebum.  However, this was nearly all of the information they got so they devised a plan.  Ron became friends with Gavin, slipping into the world of mystery.  One day after Potions, Harry followed the trio.  Gavin had led them to a dark dreary room. Ron and Hermione looked enchanted.  They had been placed under a spell.  Harry raced into the room, wand in hand, ready to attack.  Harry knew Gavin was Voldemort's acomplice.  They had a duel.  During the duel, it seemed an even fight.  Ron awoke and grabbed his wand.  He attacked Gavin with the Cruciatus curse and tied him up.  Gavin was taken to Azkaban to be tortured forever.  Everyone (except Gavin) was happy for now and the best part was that the new movie comes out in 14 days!
